WashU Conference Services offers a variety of housing options to suit your needs, whether you prefer apartment-style living or suite-style accommodations.
The South 40
The beautiful South 40—nicknamed “the 40” for its 40-acre location just south of the Danforth Campus—is home to approximately 3,200 residents across 24 residence halls. This vibrant community features modern and traditional housing, as well as recreational spaces, computer clusters, and more.
Traditional & modern buildings
Traditional residence halls include a shared kitchen on the main level, while modern buildings offer a kitchen on every floor, along with shared common areas such as lounges and study spaces. All rooms are furnished with a bed, dresser, desk, chair and closet.
Apartments
For those seeking more independence, we also offer on- and off-campus apartments with kitchens, dining areas, and living spaces. These modern accommodations provide the comforts of home while keeping you connected to the WashU community.
